Once upon a time in a small village, there lived a young shepherd boy. He was responsible for taking care of the village’s flock of sheep. Day in and day out, he would watch over them as they grazed on the lush green hills surrounding the village.
One sunny day, feeling bored and wanting to have some fun, the boy decided to play a prank on the villagers. He climbed to the top of a hill and began to shout, “Wolf! Wolf! There’s a wolf attacking the sheep!” The villagers, alarmed by his cries, dropped what they were doing and rushed to the boy’s aid. But when they arrived, they found no wolf; only the mischievous boy, laughing at his trick.
The villagers were annoyed but forgave the boy, thinking it was just a child’s prank. They returned to their work, and the boy went back to watching the sheep.
A few days later, the boy’s boredom returned, and he decided to play the same trick again. Climbing the hill once more, he cried out, “Wolf! Wolf! Help! The wolf is back!” Again, the villagers rushed to his aid, only to find no wolf, just the boy’s laughter echoing through the hills.
